It’s really close. The facial nuances are eerily life-like. However, there’s still a stiffness to the body gestures that keeps it in the valley. Though I’m pretty sure they were focussing on the face, and not the rest of the body.

ChuChu Rocket Re-Release

One fateful day while visiting my girlfriend (now wife) in college, I stopped by Toys “Я” Us to buy a Dreamcast at a deep discount—Sega was exiting the console race and focussing instead on games. It was a very capable machine for the time and I’m surprised it didn’t do better, but I digress. Somehow, I got my hands on ChuChu Rocket, and my life was never the same¹. There were many game nights where it was nearly the only game played. Even my wife (then girlfriend) really loved the game. Which is fortunate, because…

ChuChu Rocket is being released for the iPhone and iPad sometime in late October!

Mrs. Awesome, I know you’ll understand when I have my head down, focussed on guiding those helpless mice away from the evil cat and to their rockets!
