I might be late to the game on this one, but GE has a new page on their site - Plug Into the Smart Grid | Augmented Reality. Here's what you will need:
- Computer with a webcam
- Flash 10
- A Printer
- Paper for said printer
- At least 15 minutes to gawk, then another 30-45 minutes to show your friends

Now, I work in After Effects nearly every day. I know tracking is a complicated process. Frankly, I'm amazed Flash is capable of pulling this off real-time, even with the easily trackable shape.
